Amy is a member of CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professionals Association), DONA (Doula's of North Amercia).  A Las Vegas native and youngest of 6 children, her interest in childbirth began a few months before becoming pregnant with her first daughter.   She is also the president of C.E.L.A. of So. Nevada, the local childbirth educator and doula association.  She began reading book after book on childbirth and began her childbirth instructor and doula training towards the end of her pregnancy.  In April 1996 she delivered her daughter, after a low intervention, unmedicated, very satisfying birth with the help of her husband and doula at a wonderful Utah hospital.  She continued her training until she "officially" began teaching and attending births in January 1997.  She had her second daughter, in September 1998, her 3rd daughter in March 2002, and her fourth daughter in June 2005 with the help of her husband, daughters, midwives, and family at a wonderful homebirth.

All Birth Source services cater to women/couples planning any type of birth - home or hospital, unmedicated or drugged, vaginal or cesarean - and is completely supportive of women/couple INFORMED choices in childbirth.  She limits the number of class series' and doula clients so as to serve them best and give them as much energy as possible and to not compromise her family.

She also began operating her homebased, mail order catalog company after experiementing and searching for the right cloth diaper system (at the right price) for her daughters and 'minimalist work' attitude (less time working means more time playing with me family!), and she also wanted to provide her students, clients, and friends with all the materials on childbirth, and the like, that she wishes she would have found in the beginning of her first pregnancy.  She currently resides in Henderson with her family and homeschools her girls.
