How The Birth Source is Different

The Birth Source is for anyone, with any birth history.  The series meets the needs of parents planning a hospital or home birth.
We discuss:
Belief System

The knowledge about how to give birth already exists within every woman.  The Birth Source is a process, not a method, and offers a unique approach to the integration of mind, body and spirit.  My goal is to help you approach labor in a way that facilitates your innate knowledge and inform you of all the risks, benefits, and alternatives to every aspect of maternity care.
Independent Educator

This means that no hospital or care provider is paying me.  I am not censored in teaching nor do I have a vested interest in "selling" you any procedures because of someone else's policies.  This also means that class size is small and series run longer than contracted educator's.  You will receive more concentrated information, time, supplies, and heart than from a hospital sponsored classes.

Researched Information

I make sure that all the information I provide is backed up by credible research.  I make it a point to stay current, well read, attend conferences, network with local birth professionals, and volunteer with childbirth organizations.

The Birth Source teaches form a risk/benefit/options perspective.
The Birth Source offers you many advantages as a consumer.  I am a member of CAPPA, whose philosophy is  Women should be encouraged to trust their bodies in the birth process and myths about natural childbirth should be dispelled.  Education should not involve guilt but should empower women to chose the kind of birth that is best for them.
